Maureen Tracey

Maureen Tracey is an experienced litigator with nearly fifteen years in the private practice of law. Maureen’s focus at Rosenberg & Ball is working on representing college students who are falsely accused of sexual misconduct. Prior to that, Maureen has litigated a wide variety of cases in the commercial business context, including all manner of contract disputes, fraud and deceptive trade practice cases, banking regulation issues, and class action claims. She has particular expertise in the areas of First Amendment and media law, having defended television and radio stations against claims of defamation and invasion of privacy, fought for media access to court proceedings, and litigated numerous Ohio Public Records Act and Open Meetings cases. Maureen’s clients have included media companies, colleges and universities, non-profit and for-profit corporations, and a nationwide women’s healthcare provider, among others. She has appeared before state and federal courts, is a skilled legal writer, and a published author.

Outside of her legal practice, Maureen serves on the Board of Trustees for GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down syndrome achievement center located in Cleveland, Ohio. She lives in Rocky River, Ohio with her husband and two children.
